The Treatment Room

The treatment room plays a key role in Portadown Health Centre. It is staffed by specialist treatment room nurses with some additional input from district nursing.

The treatment provides key clinical services such as:

• wound dressing
• removal of sutures 
• treatment of minor injuries 
• plus many other important procedures

Interpreting services are available for most languages. If you feel you need an interpreter, please book in advance via our reception desk.

Test Results

It is the patients own responsibily to call the receptionist to check-up on their test results. However, you may be contacted if your test is abnormal and the Doctor has eg. medication advice to give you. You may even be advised to make an appointment with the Doctor to discuss the results.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate, unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When your test is being taken you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the Practice.
